Pooling our strengths in logistics
In the second part of materialfluss's exclusive encouraging survey on the economic outlook for 2023, six other industry experts give their views. Dr. Claus-Peter Amberger, CEO of Loxxess, is one of them.
Logistics has made impressive progress in the field of digitalization in recent years. The booming online trade presents us with complex challenges that call for innovative strength. Even though additional financial expenditure is expected next year, we at Loxxess are continuing to invest more in digitalization and automation. Thanks to the implementation of our logistics concept "SMILE: Smart and innovative - logistics for e-commerce", we manage logistics processes using artificial intelligence. This enables us to achieve tangible cost savings and increase efficiency. This helps us to support the expansion of cooperation with our most important customers, for whom we are currently expanding in Bor, for example. The fact that we can count on trusting business relationships even in times of crisis gives us confidence. The financial burdens will prevent an economic upturn and in some cases lead to a decline in orders, but at Loxxess we are broadly positioned in many sectors. Recruiting young talent will remain one of our biggest tasks.
