Lots of leaders, systems and internationals

Do you know one of the leading providers of intralogistics systems? Preferably one of the world's leading ones?" - "One? Many!" Because, it seems to me, there are without exception leading - sorry: internationally leading! - companies. I read this again and again in the press releases of various companies, and sometimes this formulation is also printed uncritically in this fine newspaper.

How can I imagine "one of the leaders"? Is it like the 100-meter dash, where everyone hops across the finish line at the same time and I'm one of them? Where the judges rub their eyes in amazement because everyone has the same time down to ten thousandths of a second? Or when everyone has to compete in the high jump until dawn because they are equally good? At the award ceremony, do they all jostle for position on the top step and share the one gold medal? And I'm one of them? The silver and bronze medal winners can take home their silver and bronze medals, nobody needs them. There are only leaders. I've got it: I'm imagining a locomotive where every train attendant declares in his personal press release that he is now the train driver. That works. In reality, the locomotive would be wider than it is long, but at least everyone sits at the front. And what is actually international? When a supplier from the Upper Palatinate sells something to East Westphalia? Or vice versa?

In any case, they all offer systems without exception. As soon as a forklift truck has a fork - bang, system. As soon as someone sells an autonomous industrial truck with a fork AND a rack: boom, system. Even an automatic system! Come on, let's open a systems department right away, thought one or two of the leaders from Aschaffenburg. Fortunately, there is now a ranking. It doesn't say who the leading provider is, but it does say who the biggest is - at least according to their own information.
