IntraSmart: First successful logistics trade fair since the Corona break

On September 21, the IntraSmart congress trade fair opened its doors at the TZ PULS in Dingolfing. This year's highlight for the intralogistics industry was held under the motto "Make Germany make again".

University President Prof. Dr. Fritz Pörnbacher welcomes the numerous visitors to IntraSmart 2021.

Finally a trade fair that you can visit in person again - instead of virtually - finally encounters and technical discussions with a human counterpart instead of a screen. This was the basic tenor among visitors to this year's IntraSmart. This congress trade fair at the Technology Center for Production and Logistics Systems (TZ PULS) in Dingolfing has established itself as a relevant forum for exchange and information on all aspects of intralogistics. After having to take a break last year due to the pandemic, around 100 visitors took this opportunity on September 21 - with 3G rules and compulsory masks - to catch up on the latest developments: What new technologies are on the market? Which software solutions support digitalization in production logistics? What role can and will artificial intelligence play?

Almost 20 companies from the intralogistics sector exhibited at the trade fair and presented new developments together with scientific initiators. A special feature of IntraSmart is that it brings together innovative players from research and practice - in presentations and personal discussions at the congress trade fair. Make new instead of stagnating What does this year's IntraSmart motto "Make Germany make again" mean? "We are highly topical with this motto," explains Prof. Dr. Markus Schneider, Scientific Director of TZ PULS. "Manufacturing companies in Germany have long been exposed to strong competitive pressure. Crises such as the coronavirus pandemic are causing them additional difficulties. We show them ways - not only technologies but also know-how - how they can make optimal use of digitalization and automation to set up their production logistics in the best possible way."
