From LT-manager 1/2020
Editorial for the 50th issue
Dear readers,
Welcome to the 50th issue of LT-manager: a nice number, which we take as an incentive to continue to design the next 50 issues for you with plenty of opinion, exciting interviews, background reports and high-quality presentation.
Almost a decade has passed between the first issue of the premium magazine for logistics and transportation in October 2010 and this issue, which will be officially celebrated in October. In 2010, the Lehman bankruptcy and the after-effects of the economic crisis were still on everyone's lips. I very much hope that the news about the coronavirus does not result in a similar scenario. My opinion: no one can achieve anything by scaremongering, now it's up to research.
The editorial of the 50th issue is the right place to spotlight an author who has been with us from issue one. The journalist and logistics multi-activist (IFOY, Logistics Hall Of Fame, Ministry of Transport?) Anita Würmser has now published 50 columns for LT-manager. Issue by issue, we have been able to read what Würmser is up to. 50 times open visor according to the motto "Only the tough get into the garden". Thank you, Anita!
I am attaching a fitting quote from Albert Einstein to Anita Würmser's current column ("Corona of Creation"): "Two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, but I am not yet quite sure about the universe". This applies not only to the perception of danger, but unfortunately also to large parts of current social developments.
You will read LT-manager again at the beginning of June, until then I wish you intelligent days and weeks.
Best regards from Haar
