From LT-manager 3-4/2019
Editorial: Taking courage
Dear readers,
Have you been brave today? Have you already done something courageous today? If not, then the German Logistics Congress in Berlin is obviously just right for you. That's because the organizers of the event have chosen the motto "Be bold".
If, on the other hand, you are a doer and don't jump on the chair at every mouse that comes around the corner - in other words, if you are brave - then the thinking starts.
What if the German Logistics Congress ends up being attended only by those seeking courage and those who don't do anything? Are doers and courageous people even welcome there? And, the question of all questions: What does the German Logistics Association want to tell us with the congress motto? Well, the motto is catchier than "Whistling loudly in the logistics forest", but it could hardly be more arbitrary and empty of content.
That's a shame, as the congress has often shown that it also generates ideas and sets directions. In any case, the logisticians I know certainly don't lack the courage or the "do". In this respect, I prefer to stick with the motto of the German Logistics Congress from 2010, which was: "Intelligent growth".
LT-manager was on display there with its first issue and I am delighted that this issue opens the 10th year of the premium magazine for logistics and transportation. Until our anniversary in 2020, we promise to publish only intelligent content and to grow - for example by cooperating more closely with our sister magazine materialfluss.
Best wishes from Munich,
Martin Schrüfer
Managing Editor-in-Chief
