Award for the Social Media Academy from WEKA Media

The further education course "Online Marketing Manager" at WEKA Media's Social Media Academy (SMA) was awarded the grade "very good" by the eLearning Journal. The practice-oriented didactic concept, the good technical implementation and the well thought-out support concept of the course scored particularly well.

At the beginning of the year, the Social Media Academy (SMA) was awarded the title of "TOP Distance Learning School 2020" by the evaluation portal FernstudiumCheck for the 3rd time in a row. Now its "Online Marketing Manager" course has been rated "very good" by the eLearning Journal.

Founded in 2010 and certified by the ZFU, the Social Media Academy (SMA) sets standards in the training and professionalization of specialists in the digital economy and in the acquisition of important media skills. Here, employees and workers are trained to become social media managers, online marketing managers and online store managers. The courses consist of learning units, each with learning videos lasting an average of 60 minutes, in which the lecturers - all experienced experts in the respective field - give lectures with a high degree of practical relevance.
It is therefore not surprising that the eLearning Journal's Online Marketing Manager course scores highly with its didactic concept.

The "strong practical relevance" of the online marketing course - whose content ranges from online marketing strategy and various marketing channels to the analysis and evaluation of measures - is particularly emphasized in the evaluation: "The learning units each provide a comprehensive introduction to the respective topic, which is supplemented and thus complemented by numerous practical examples."

The SMA online course also impressed the eLearning Journal in technical terms. "Learning videos are produced to a high standard as the core of the academy and are available from 244p for smartphones to 1080p in HD quality (...) During our test, the performance of the videos was flawless, there were no long loading times or constant jerks or buffering (...) If you exit a video prematurely, the progress is saved and the video jumps to the previous position the next time you call it up. This is a particularly useful function due to the length of the videos," praises the eLearning Journal.

The Social Media Academy regularly receives awards from the distance learning portal FernstudiumCheck for its comprehensive support concept based on positive user reviews. At the beginning of this year, for example, it not only received the "TOP Distance Learning School 2020" award, but also the "Top Support" award. The eLearning Journal also writes: "Support as a quality feature" and confirms that the platform has a "well thought-out support concept". In fact, SMA does not leave the learners alone during the course, which lasts several months: they are always accompanied by a tutor, can also ask the lecturers questions and are in collaborative exchange with other participants in online learning communities.

"We are very proud of this award," says Michael Klamerski, Head of the Social Media Academy at WEKA MEDIA. "It shows us that we are on the right track with our concept. We offer a digital training program of the highest quality and are pleased that our high standards of practical relevance, functioning technology and intensive support are not only convincing our participants."
