A.P. Möller - Maersk has reached an agreement with the shareholders of KGH to acquire 100% of the company. KGH, headquartered in Gothenburg, is a customs service provider and employs 770 foreign trade and customs specialists who serve over 25,000 customers each year. In recent years, KGH has expanded its geographical presence and now operates in twelve countries in Europe.

"We are very much looking forward to working with Maersk, a company that shares our values and passion for trade and logistics. Together we will continue to build on the great success our teams have achieved so far. Customs services are an essential part of the end-to-end needs of trade customers, which together with Maersk we can achieve seamlessly and globally. The combination is an exciting next step for our customers, our employees and other stakeholders," said Lars Börjesson, CEO at KGH.

During Bridgepoint Development Capital's investment in KGH, the company has achieved growth, expanded its presence across Europe and developed a customs software platform. Johan Dahlfors, Partner at BDC, comments: "We have had the pleasure of working with KGH for over six years and the progress the team has made during this time has been outstanding. We believe that KGH is uniquely positioned to continue to execute on its strategic growth agenda and that Maersk will be an excellent future partner for the company. We look forward to continuing to follow KGH's development. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals. Until the necessary regulatory approvals are obtained and the transaction is completed, A.P. Moller-Maersk and KGH will remain two separate companies.
