Schuon modernizes vehicle fleet
Alfred Schuon consistently pursues a course of continuous innovation and modernization. In the current year, the transport and logistics specialist is investing in around 50 new vehicles - Daimler tractor units and trailer combinations as well as ultra-light jumbos from MAN.
The family-owned company is thus reducing the average age of its fleet to two years. Schuon is also purchasing its first fully electric truck. The logistics specialist is also putting around 80 trailers and semi-trailers into service.
The new vehicles are being purchased at a time when the supply situation is returning to normal following the uncertainties caused by production and delivery stops due to the coronavirus pandemic and numerous conflicts. This enables Schuon to offer its services efficiently and optimize the supply chains for its customers with a wide variety of vehicle types. One example of this is the ultra-light jumbos, which impress with their maximum efficiency.
