The pfenning Group is thus taking a further step in its growth strategy and expanding its service and industry portfolio. The Logosys logistics group has many years of expertise in highly specialized logistics solutions in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, cosmetics, care products and chemicals sectors. It consists of three companies with the units Logistics, Forwarding and Personnel Services, all of which focus on supply chain services for the pharmaceutical and chemical industries. The company's long-standing clients include major pharmaceutical and healthcare companies, for whom it provides warehouse logistics, packing, order picking, transportation and distribution to retailers and end customers.

The transaction was carried out for succession reasons, as Hans-Jürgen Nützel, founder and managing director of Logosys, has retired from operational management for reasons of age, thus setting the course for the future of the company. The management of the Logosys Group around Jürgen Reinhard and Marcel Nützel will remain with the company. Hans-Jürgen Nützel commented on the acquisition as follows: "The Europe-wide presence and the shared management philosophy between Logosys and the pfenning Group were decisive criteria for this transaction. We are convinced that this integration creates a win-win situation for both companies and further strengthens our ability to offer innovative solutions." The close proximity between Heddesheim and Darmstadt is also expected to result in rapid integration and the utilization of mutual synergies, Nützel continued.

With around 250 employees at three locations in the Rhine-Main region, over 60,000 m² with more than 100,000 pallet spaces and its own fleet of vehicles, Logosys complements the pfenning Group. The specialist also has a comprehensive quality management system with the necessary certifications and approvals for pharmaceutical logistics, including GDP, GMP, wholesale authorization and manufacturing authorization in accordance with §13 AMG.

Rana Matthias Nag, Managing Director of the pfenning Group, added: "The integration of Logosys into our group of companies expands our range of services, particularly in the pharmaceutical, healthcare and cosmetics sectors. We are confident that this will enable us to meet the dynamically evolving requirements of supply chains in an even more targeted manner. In addition to our industry expertise, the acquisition also expands our activities in the Rhine-Main region."
