Bluetooth tracking
Jettainer and CORE Transport Technologies work together
The companies Jettainer and CORE Transport Technologies have entered into a strategic partnership. The COREInsight tracking solution based on Bluetooth technology will be used in the containers and pallets of the service partner for outsourced loading equipment management.
The tracking system is intended in particular to help streamline customer airlines' ground processes, for example through fully automated inventories. The retrofittable Bluetooth tags are automatically detected and evaluated by strategically installed readers at the airports. There is no need for manual scanning or other interventions. "Our Bluetooth solution was initially designed as a simple tracking solution for ULD stocks. But when we implemented the system at the major airlines in 2017, it quickly became clear that the large volumes of data and the ability to analyze ULD movements would bring a number of benefits to airlines and their customers," explains Ian Craig, CEO at CORE.
Jettainer is currently responsible for the complete management of loading equipment, including the control, positioning, maintenance and servicing of around 90,000 unit load devices (ULDs) for 26 airlines at over 450 airports.
