Expansion of the general cargo network
Hellmann opens new branch in Poland
Hellmann Worldwide Logistics Poland has opened a new branch in Toruń. The company is thus investing further in the strategic expansion of its general cargo network in Poland, which transports up to 10,000 pallets a day. The new 2,500 m2 warehouse is strategically located in the recently completed Pannatoni Park II directly at the A1 highway junction in Lubicz. With the opening of its tenth own sales branch in Poland, the company is strengthening its local presence and at the same time consolidating its international network.
Over the last ten years, Poland has become an increasingly important strategic market for the global full-service provider. In order to enable sustainable growth, the logistics provider has consistently invested in the expansion of its infrastructure, opened new branches and expanded capacities at existing locations. Since 2012, Hellmann has more than doubled the number of Polish branches and more than tripled the volume. Today, the company also offers the entire product range in Poland, from sea and air freight, contract logistics and customs solutions to national and international general cargo and freight transportation. A close-knit liner network with daily round trips has been established between the German and Polish country organizations in particular.
"Together with our customers, we want to continue to grow in the future and intensify our general cargo network between Germany and Poland in particular. This is our response to the increased demand for international road transportation and sets the course for the successful strategic development of our activities in Poland and the entire European region," says Jens Tarnowski, Regional CEO West Europe, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.
"With the opening of the new sales office, we are further expanding our infrastructure in Poland and thus ensuring sufficient capacity for our constantly growing transport volume," adds Jacek Przybyłowski, Managing Director of Hellmann Worldwide Logistics Poland.
