Geis grows operationally by almost five percent
The Geis Group once again closed the past financial year on a positive note: in 2020, the international logistics service provider generated net sales of 1,002.6 million euros.

very satisfied." The Geis Group's turnover fell slightly by 3.3% compared to 2019. However, the company sold its parcel services in the Czech Republic and Slovakia at the turn of the year 2019/2020. Adjusted for this effect, Geis achieved revenue growth of 4.7 percent.
The main growth drivers were air freight with imports of hygiene and protective materials as well as the entire B2C sector. The number of transport and logistics orders handled at the 127 Geis locations across Europe in 2020 rose by 8.3% to 10.64 million. The tonnage transported fell by 3.1% to 5.87 million tons.
"Thanks above all to the great commitment of our 6,100 employees, we have so far been able to cope with the effects of the pandemic much better than expected," explain Hans-Wolfgang Geis and Jochen Geis, Managing Directors of Geis Holding. "Against this backdrop, we are confident that we will also be able to achieve stable earnings in the current 2021 financial year."
