BLG Logistics is now a "climate-conscious company"
BLG Logistics has been awarded the title of "climate-conscious company". The renowned magazine Capital conducted a large-scale study together with Statista to find out which companies have reduced the intensity of their greenhouse gas emissions the most in the past five years - and can therefore count themselves among the "Climate-conscious companies in Germany 2021".
BLG Logistics was ranked 49th out of a total of 2,000 companies surveyed. "The result confirms that we are on the right track with our climate protection measures and that our measures also stand up to scientific scrutiny," says Frank Dreeke, CEO of BLG Logistics.
It was only in November that BLG Logistics' new targets for the absolute reduction of greenhouse gas emissions were recognized by the renowned Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This makes BLG Logistics the first German logistics service provider with a scientifically recognized climate protection target. One of the BLG Group's sustainability goals is to reduce emissions within the company by 30 percent in absolute terms and outside the company by 15 percent by 2030.
The SBTi is a collaboration between the environmental organization CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, the World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).
