"This expansion is particularly exciting for us, as we want to build a state-of-the-art campus that meets our high standards for sustainable construction," explains Martijn Nielen, Managing Director of Arvato in the Netherlands. "Among other things, the new campus will be Breeam-certified, have a photovoltaic system and green courtyards. It reflects our commitment not only to meet the needs of our customers, but also to take responsibility for the environment."

Presence in the Netherlands significantly strengthened

The new campus site, with an area of almost 200,000 square meters, is the second large logistics site in the Netherlands to be fully owned by Arvato, in addition to the existing site in Gennep. Commissioning is planned for 2025, and preparations for the construction of the new logistics facility began in May with the first earthworks.

Once completed, Arvato will have a presence in the Netherlands with a total area of around 500,000 square meters. The new site is strategically located in the "De Loop" business park in the municipality of Echt between Maastricht and Roermond in the south-east of the Netherlands and not only offers access to a skilled workforce, but also has excellent transport links. The location not only enables efficient cross-border transportation of goods to the important markets in Germany and Belgium, but also to the rest of Europe.
