New class receives honor
70 logistics ambassadors from 30 nations for Bremen
The sixth class of Bremen Logistics Ambassadors was honored on November 27. The federal state now has around 70 logistics ambassadors from 30 nations. Their aim is to make the city-state's logistics expertise known worldwide.
The fourteen logistics students from the University of Bremen and Jacobs University received their certificates, signed by Bremen's Senator for Economics and Ports Martin Günthner, at the Bremen Cotton Exchange. The young logistics experts from all over the world have acquired specialist knowledge about the logistics location on several excursions. "The past twelve months have given us numerous opportunities to make contacts and meet fascinating people from the logistics industry," explained Logistics Ambassador Neelesh Balakrishnan. As part of the program, they were able to take a look behind the scenes at various Bremen logistics companies - from coffee handling to IT service providers. "We keep hearing from the students how valuable it is for them to see logistics processes on site and learn about them in a practical way, in addition to the theoretical knowledge taught at universities," reported program initiator and BHV Managing Director Klaus Platz.
