Personalized load carriers from Cabka-IPS for transparent logistics
Cabka-IPS is one of the pioneers in the field of RFID solutions for plastic pallets. At CeMAT, the company and the Fraunhofer Institute will be providing a practical insight into RFID technology and demonstrating how it can be used to improve logistics processes. The RFID transponders
are embedded in the plastic of the pallet by Cabka-IPS, which protects them against dirt and damage. No visual contact with the RFID transponder is required to read the data. They are also rewritable and, unlike a barcode, can remain on the object and be used repeatedly.
Real-time tracking
With RFID, data stored on microchips can be read out by radio. Loading checks, goods movements and shipment tracking can be clearly mapped and are available in real time. Specific properties (tool, machine, material batch) are automatically assigned to each load carrier. This means that it is always possible to trace where and from which material this load carrier was produced.
