Wave multifunctional vehicle celebrates anniversary
Twenty years ago, Crown launched a multifunctional vehicle that made the use of ladders superfluous in many applications: the Work Assist Vehicle (WAV) - better known as Wave.
The range of applications for the Wave has grown steadily. The latest generation, the WAV 60, is as functional and versatile as its predecessor, yet more efficient, safer and easier to use. Compared to ladders, there is no time-consuming ascent and descent and the risk of accidents is reduced. One operator can carry out work that would otherwise require two people. The vehicle lifts a person and load to a reach height of up to five meters and travels at speeds of up to 8 km/h. The Wave's upper loading platform can carry loads of up to 90 kilograms and can be ordered with optional electric height adjustment. The lower platform can carry a further 115 kilograms.
