Electric forklift
Still helps brewery with disinfectant production
During the coronavirus pandemic, the Grönwohlder Hausbrauerei brewery is producing disinfectant in its production areas. Still is supporting this commitment and is providing an electric forklift truck for operational logistics free of charge.
Thousands of liters of disinfectant will be produced over the next few weeks on the premises of the Grönwohlder Hausbrauerei brewery in the Stormarn district. Production, responsibility and distribution will be handled exclusively by pharmacies, which currently have a temporary exemption permit for production. Grönwohlder wants to help in this time of crisis and is providing the technology and labor at cost price. Thanks to these large capacities, the pharmacies are able to produce a lot of urgently needed disinfectant in a very short time.
Still provides electric forklift trucks
The logistics on the brewery site are made possible thanks to the support of intralogistics company Still. The Hamburg-based company is providing an electric forklift truck from the RX-20 series free of charge for the production period. "The current situation is a major challenge for all of us. This makes it all the more important for us to show solidarity," explains Still Managing Director Thomas A. Fischer. "We are therefore very happy to support the Grönwohlder Hausbrauerei's fantastic project with our logistics expertise and a powerful electric forklift truck."
The RX 20-20 is a powerful, compact and maneuverable truck with the highest handling capacity in its class. With a lithium-ion battery and uncomplicated battery replacement, it is also available almost around the clock.
"Until now, we have been using a Still low-lift truck on our premises. The fact that we can now use a powerful and safe forklift truck makes our work much easier," says a delighted Torsten Schumacher, beer sommelier at the Grönwohlder Hausbrauerei. "The fact that we are receiving so much support for our initiative is a great confirmation that we are doing the right thing. Thank you very much for that!"
Further help came from a Still partner from the neighborhood in Hamburg Billbrook: Pfaff Spezialtransporte took over the transport of the forklift to Grönwohld free of charge and without any complications.
