E&K Automation plans from a "bird's eye view"
E&K Automation uses modern planning software to create virtual models that can be used to simulate complex and dynamic logistics processes. The simulations from the supplier of automated guided vehicles (AGVs) serve as the basis for the development of transport robotics concepts tailored specifically to the user.
Using the planning software, the processes can be mapped in 2D and 3D models and different solution variants can be tested. With the Tecnomatix Plant Simulation planning tool developed by E&K, these can be displayed quickly and in detail. The layout data (e.g. premises, location) is recorded and supplemented with the data of the desired automated guided vehicles (AGVs) from EK Automation, the data of the processes running in the company and the specifications for the transportation tasks to be performed.
Avoidance of incorrect planning
Further information, such as transport flows and their fluctuations, buffer sizes and machine behavior are included in the calculations and enable the design of system sizes, transport performance and traffic routing for an adequate transport concept. System limits can thus be determined and planning errors avoided. mm
