The German branch of Mitsubishi Logisnext Europe B.V. (also known as Mitsubishi Gabelstapler Deutschland) merged with the former UniCarriers Germany GmbH on April 1 of this year and is now operating under the name Logisnext Germany GmbH with its headquarters in Oberhausen.

As part of the merger, Logisnext Germany will implement a one-brand strategy in Germany. As a result, the UniCarriers (UC) brand will be successively discontinued. Following the discontinuation of the UniCarriers brand, only forklift trucks and warehouse equipment from Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks (MFT) will be offered. The proven product lines of UC and MFT will be combined in a joint portfolio.

By focusing on the Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks brand, the two partner networks in Germany will be merged into a new large network under the red diamonds. "This is beneficial for everyone involved - for us as a manufacturer as well as for our dealers and end customers. On the one hand, the new partner organization will enable us to achieve consistent market development, while on the other hand, service and spare parts procurement will be simpler and faster. The mere fact that many Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks machines have identical components speeds up the procurement of replacement parts and reduces downtime," explains Detlef Wichert, the new Managing Director of Logisnext Germany.

Dual distribution

Mitsubishi Logisnext Europe, a member of the global Mitsubishi Logisnext Group, is one of the world's top manufacturers and has one of the largest ranges of industrial trucks with comprehensive product lines. In order to make this product range accessible to all potential customers, sales in Germany are carried out both via the nationwide dealer network and directly to strategic end customers.

Personnel changes

With the merger of Mitsubishi Gabelstapler Deutschland (previously based in Duisburg) and the former UniCarriers Germany GmbH, changes have also been made to the management of Logisnext Germany GmbH: Detlef Wichert, formerly of Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks Germany, is the new Managing Director of the company and also Sales Director. Stefan Märtins joins from outside the company and strengthens the team as the new Service Manager. Daniel Matas from the former UniCarriers Germany team takes over the position of Commercial Manager.
