The Stöcklin Group, previously based in Aesch/Reinach, is relocating its headquarters to Laufen, around twelve kilometers away, in 2020. The new Stöcklin Technology Center is being built in the Chronebaum/Sormat industrial zone on Wahlenstrasse in Laufen. New production buildings, an office building and a high-bay warehouse for pallets and containers are being built on the site, which covers around 26,000 square meters. Excavation will begin at the start of November, followed by building construction from January 2019. In Aesch, apartments and commercial space will be built on the current company site after the move.

A technology center that meets today's requirements is to be built on the new site in Laufen. Urs Grütter, Chairman and Delegate of the Board of Directors, emphasized at the ground-breaking ceremony that the move will also bring about a cultural change: "Short distances, open offices, direct communication, state-of-the-art technology, efficient logistics, our own staff restaurant with a roof terrace, beautiful surroundings and a good atmosphere should help all employees in the company to come closer together, feel comfortable and master the challenges of the future together."
