Interroll supplies stainless steel drum motors for the packaging machines of Ing. E. Vezzadini in Reggio Emilia, Italy. These are mainly used in dairies and in food processing companies that produce cheese spreads and margarine.

The company's automated machines need to produce 100 blocks of butter per minute, precisely and with the greatest possible fluidity. The company opted for drum motors from Interroll to move the delicate products in the machines. Impressive efficiency and space savings

E. Vezzadini opted for Interroll drum motors to make the packaging machines more space-saving and efficient and to guarantee one hundred percent hygiene. The fact that the motor, gearbox and bearings of Interroll drum motors are located inside the drum means that significantly less installation space is required than with other motor types. The belt conveyor can therefore be more compact and requires less space.

Quick to install

In addition, according to a study conducted at the University of Parma, drum motors can even be installed in an average of 25 percent less time than is usually required to install a conventional multi-component drive system.
