German Brand Award 2019 for conveyor technology specialist Dematic

Dematic received the German Brand Award 2019 for its brand identity on June 6. Every year, the German Brand Institute Foundation and the German Design Council present the award to companies that stand out for their innovative brand communication.

The intralogistics specialist beat off the competition in the "Logistics & Infrastructure" category. Dematic particularly impressed the jury with its Imagination Center, which brings the brand and history to life. Visitors can not only convince themselves of the intralogistics expertise based on 200 years of experience, but also get to know the brand and its solutions in a playful way. The product presentation is unique in Germany. Dematic accepted the award yesterday at the German Brand Convention in Berlin.

"The award is great praise for us. It underlines the fact that, with our Imagination Center, we have developed an innovative approach to integrating brand and solution expertise into the customer journey," says Jessica Heinz, Head of Marketing and Business Development Dematic Central Europe. On the 2,600 square meters of exhibition space, customers can not only experience the past and future of intralogistics automation technology. They can also virtually configure a customized, complex warehouse system in 3D view consisting of Dematic solutions. In an adjacent area, the company then enables visitors to get to know the intralogistics solutions live and in full size. "In this way, we make abstract topics such as service, software, speed, system intelligence and flexibility, which characterize Dematic solutions, tangible for our customers," says Heinz. Dematic developed the Imagination Center in collaboration with the agency simple GmbH.

For the German Brand Award, an interdisciplinary jury of experts from the fields of business, science, consulting, services and agencies initially evaluated all entries. Among other things, brand impact, degree of innovation, differentiation from the competition and future viability were taken into account. The panel then voted Dematic the best product and corporate brand in the industry in the "Logistics & Infrastructure" category.

The German Brand Award was presented for the fourth time. It was created by the German Design Council, which was founded by the German Bundestag. It is awarded by the German Brand Institute Foundation. The aim of the award is to strengthen the importance of brand management as a success factor for companies in the national and international competitive environment.
