50th anniversary celebration
Experts meet at Klinkhammer
As part of the 50th anniversary celebrations, logistics experts at Klinkhammer discussed the latest trends in intralogistics.
50 years of Klinkhammer was on the agenda - but it was not to be a classic anniversary celebration. Instead, intralogistics experts and customers were invited to an intensive exchange of ideas on current topics and trends in the industry. All guests were able to take a look at the technical center and the new building.
On June 30, intralogistics expert Klinkhammer celebrated its 50th birthday with a top-class expert event. After the welcome, the program started with a keynote speech by Econsio on the pitfalls of project management. This was followed by keynotes from Bosch Rexroth on AI-supported robot picking and from Exotec on shuttle robots. The event concluded with a best-practice presentation on digitalization and warehouse automation in food service from Frischdienst Walther.
After lunch, the experts were able to visit the new building. While the focus in the morning was on knowledge transfer and demonstrations in the technical center, the afternoon was all about application, the right warehouse management software and networking. In large and small groups, a wide variety of topics were examined from different perspectives. Managing directors and executives from the fields of logistics, supply chain, operations and business development discussed how they can design their logistics processes to be even more successful, how process automation will develop in the future and how medium-sized companies can achieve their logistics goals more efficiently through partial automation. Frank Klinkhammer, Managing Director of Klinkhammer Intralogistics GmbH: "We wanted to use our anniversary to bring together leading minds from the logistics industry with practitioners from the companies after the corona break. This was a great success and we are delighted that our guests were able to take away many ideas for their day-to-day work."
After the experts, the employees celebrated
While Thursday was dedicated to the experts and users, the anniversary was celebrated extensively with the employees and their families on Friday. They were the focus of attention on this day. "Our employees are the basis for our success. So the celebration was also a big thank you to all our colleagues," emphasizes Frank Klinkhammer. Whether it was the flight simulator with VR goggles, bull riding or photo fun box, XL car racing track or bouncy castle, there was plenty of entertainment and fun on offer. The suckling pig on a spit and many other delicacies provided for the physical well-being.
