Martin Schrüfer,

"Other sectors are also upgrading their logistics"

"The start to the new year makes us very optimistic. By the end of the year, many projects offered in 2021 had been completed, which we will deliver in the first and second quarters. Our e-commerce customers had a strong growth year in 2021. In addition to clothing, shoes and technology, food retail and everyday goods in particular benefited from the strong online retail business. But other sectors are also upgrading their logistics by automating processes. One promising market for our technology is the healthcare sector, where we have already acquired several market leaders as customers. We also want to open up further areas of application with new products, for example with the recently launched R5+ robot, which can handle containers up to 425 mm and offers an extremely economical and reliable solution for fast-growing warehouses.

The general economy in the DACH region will continue to suffer from the supply and material bottlenecks of recent years in the first half of 2022. In addition, there have been some enormous global price increases for raw materials, intermediate goods, transportation and energy. A macroeconomic recovery can therefore only be expected in the second half of the year."

The survey was published in materialfluss WELT DER INTRALOGISTIK (December 2021, first part) and materialfluss 1-2/22 (second part).
