The foldable plastic transport containers in the dimensions 1500 x 800 x 800 mm and 1800 x 800 x 800 mm combine a large usable volume with ergonomic handling and high volume reduction.

With the MegaPack ALPHA 1500 x 800 x 800 and MegaPack BETA 1800 x 800 x 800, the packaging manufacturer from southern Germany has added two large-format standard solutions to its range of foldable large load carriers. Due to the large usable volume of 667 liters and 748 liters respectively and a payload of up to 350 kg, the plastic containers are suitable for transporting large-volume automotive components with a comparatively low weight, such as seat frames, panels and cables. However, the spacious large load carriers are also suitable for lightweight parts from the mechanical and plant engineering, electrical engineering or aerospace industries.

High volume reduction with the MegaPack ALPHA

The MegaPack ALPHA, measuring 1500 x 800 x 800 mm, is made up of three components: a 9-foot Twin-Sheet pallet, a folding ring and a Twin-Sheet lid. Deep-drawn pallet feet ensure that the pallet can be nested. This and the folding of the ring allow the volume to be reduced by up to 75 percent during storage and transportation of empties. The pallet can be reinforced with steel struts to prevent bending during handling with forklift trucks at this length. Two optional handle loops improve the handling of the lid.

Simple, intuitive handling with the MegaPack BETA

Despite its size, the MegaPack BETA measuring 1800 x 800 x 800 mm is quick and easy to assemble and dismantle. It can be folded on its own. The folding ring is folded and stowed between the pallet and the lid. Two recessed grips make it easier to move the lid. The MegaPack BETA also has a watertight lid, as it does not require any locks. The folding ring is held in place by latches on the inside of the lid.

Both new large load carriers can be driven under on four sides and are offered with a system height of 800 mm as standard. This offers the advantage that the internal height of a truck of 2.40 meters is optimally utilized when stacking 3 units. The folding of the systems also guarantees high utilization of the loading volume when returning empties and storing them.
