Sustainable thinking: plastic pallets from Auer
Sustainability and resource efficiency must be considered in every industry today, especially when designing transportation solutions,
must be taken into account. An interesting aspect: plastic can perform very well in a company's life cycle assessment. After all, not all plastics are the same. Auer Packaging relies on sustainable, durable and easily recyclable single-material solutions for its products - especially its robust pallets. With a significantly lower tare weight than wooden pallets, Auer Packaging's plastic pallets reduce CO2 emissions during transportation and have a service life of up to 10 years - which is also advantageous in terms of sustainability.
The specialist supplier of transport and storage containers from Amerang in Upper Bavaria has four different types of plastic pallets in its range, all manufactured in Germany - specially designed for heavy loads, machine transportable and adapted to EURO or ISO formats. The smooth surface ensures easy cleaning and makes the product indispensable in the food and pharmaceutical industries and all sectors with high hygiene requirements.
Compared to wooden pallets, lightweight, cleanroom, hygiene and medium pallets offer even more advantages: they are lighter, do not absorb water when stored outdoors, do not leave splinters, are not susceptible to mould and minimize the risk of injury from protruding nails. Plastic Euro pallets also have a significantly longer service life than wooden pallets. They are suitable for a higher number of cycles and need to be replaced much less frequently.
