Universal Robots: Helmut Schmid leaves
Helmut Schmid, long-standing Managing Director and Regional Sales Director for Western and Northern Europe at Universal Robots, left the company on July 1.
No information has yet been released about Schmid's future plans or the reasons why he left the company. Jürgen von Hollen, President of Universal Robots, has been Chairman of the Management Board of Universal Robots and Managing Director of the German subsidiary in a dual role since July 1. Andrea Alboni, Regional Sales Manager D/A/CH, is now responsible for the operational management of the region on an ad interim basis. He has been with Universal Robots since the beginning of 2019.
The changes have no impact on the company's focus and strategy. "In recent years, we have successfully established Universal Robots as the market leader in the Western and Northern Europe regions. We will continue as before and continue the success story," emphasizes von Hollen.
