Dresselhaus, a supplier of C-parts to industry and trade, is relying on mobile transport robots from Safelog to modernize its warehouse in Herford. In the first expansion stage, the robot manufacturer from Markt Schwaben is automating the previously manual transportation of pallets and KLTs with 60 AGVs. Dresselhaus is thus setting the course for an increase in warehouse productivity and safe material flow processes.

The Dresselhaus Group is one of Europe's leading C-parts specialists specializing in fastening technology, fasteners, special parts and drawing parts. In order to keep pace with its growth and further increase productivity, the trading company began planning a comprehensive partial automation of its warehouse in Herford in spring 2021. In addition to a new shuttle warehouse, this also includes the conversion of the previously manual in-house pallet and KLT transport to an automated material flow using Safelog's mobile transport robots.

The AGVs also handle the supply and disposal of the KLT containers stored in the shuttle warehouse and, in combination with transfer stations, fulfill the function of an automatic pallet warehouse. Dresselhaus uses a total of 35 Safelog AGVs X1 tt with a rotary lift unit and 25 Safelog AGVs S3 with passive load handling. In addition, Safelog optimizes the picking process by installing pick-by-light systems at the picking islands.
