More energy-efficient transportation

As a general contractor, Servus Intralogistics develops and supplies turnkey, automated intralogistics solutions worldwide.

The Servus system creates a seamless connection between warehouse, production and assembly, merging them into a single unit. The Servus ARCs are intelligent and autonomous transport robots that form the heart of the modular logistics system. Already developed up to the 5th generation, Servus now presents the new ARC5.

Energy efficiency

The focus of the innovations is on energy efficiency: the low energy consumption of less than 150 watts during operation and the dead weight to payload ratio of almost 1:1 make it one of the most energy-efficient transport robots in the world. At a speed of 4 meters per second, the ARC5 covers a distance of 345.6 kilometers every day. In doing so, it consumes only 3.6 kilowatt hours of energy. Thanks to the highly efficient charging concept, no additional downtime is required for charging.

The ARC5 charges its energy where it stops due to the process anyway. This energy management system utilizes the advantages of two technologies: a supercapacitor is charged in a very short time using a high charging current. It provides the necessary energy for the journey and simultaneously charges a lithium-ion battery. The ARC5 therefore utilizes the full potential of both charging strategies and impresses with the high charging currents and cycle stability of the supercapacitor and the high energy density of the lithium-ion battery.

In addition, the braking energy is fed back into the system to increase efficiency. The new software solution is just as customized as the Servus systems. Local implementation ensures fast order processing and maximum security. Thanks to seamless integration with WMS or ERP systems, the software enables a smooth connection to third-party systems.
