Lynx Cart Transporter navigates autonomously
The Lynx Cart Transporter is an intelligent driverless transport system with a payload of 130 kilograms that transports small, mobile carts to a pick-up and unloading position. The versatile applications include restocking, moving flow racks, transporting unfinished products between individual work steps and transporting finished goods to the warehouse. The Lynx Cart Transporter has a navigation system that enables autonomous path finding within the system. No changes to the infrastructure are necessary. Its sensors enable it to detect people, forklift trucks and other objects in its path. The automatic attachment and removal of the carts enables "hands-free" operation by the user. The Enterprise Manager can be used to control several cart transporters as a fleet. The benefits of the Adept Lynx Cart Transporter include automatic cart location and detection, autonomous navigation, safe operation and vertical laser sensors for obstacle avoidance.
