Branch office in Hungary
ek robotics expands in Eastern Europe
On February 1, 2023, ek robotics opens a new location in Hungary. Tamás Zahornitzky is appointed Managing Director of the new branch in Budapest. With the new location, the company is further expanding its presence for automated guided vehicles (AGVs) on the Eastern European market.
For many manufacturing companies in Eastern Europe, the starting point for investing in automated guided vehicles (AGVs) has changed noticeably in recent years. A lack of skilled workers combined with rising wages and a high fluctuation rate with increasing order volumes are making investments in AGV projects increasingly attractive. "The automation of intralogistics processes is relatively late in this market, and there is huge potential for growth," says Ronald Kretschmer, Chief Sales Officer at ek robotics.
The ek robotics group of companies is also experiencing strong growth due to the increasing trend towards automation: "With the new site in Hungary, we want to participate in the pent-up demand in the field of production and logistics automation as well as the further growth potential in Eastern Europe and further expand our international presence. In addition to numerous AGV systems, a comprehensive service network for CEE (Central and Eastern Europe) is to be created to support our customers in maintaining the systems," says Andreas Böttner, CEO of ek robotics.
AGV expert Tamás Zahornitzky becomes the new Managing Director of ek robotics kft.
The 40-year-old Tamás Zahornitzky has been working in production and logistics automation for over 14 years and was most recently Sales and Marketing Manager at the Hungarian system integrator Gamma Digital. In this position, Tamás Zahornitzky has implemented several successful automation projects together with ek robotics in Eastern Europe over the past five years. As Managing Director of the ek robotics subsidiary in Hungary, the experienced automation specialist and business developer will now set up the new location in Budapest and market ek robotics' wide range of solutions in Eastern Europe.
"I have been impressed by ek robotics' range of solutions and service expertise ever since the first projects we realized together. The demand for AGVs is increasing enormously in Eastern Europe, and ek robotics has significantly more potential in this market. In discussions with the ek robotics management, we quickly developed common visions and goals that we want to realize together from now on. I am looking forward to the new challenge, the development and expansion of the new location and team and to representing the ek robotics brand in several countries," says Tamás Zahornitzky. ek robotics kft. aims to establish itself as the AGV market leader in Central and Eastern Europe in the long term.
