Branch of the Commerzbibliothek
EK Automation lends its name to the HSBA library
The Commerzbibliothek branch on the new campus of the Hamburg School of Business Administration has a well-known supporter.
EK Automation, one of the world's leading manufacturers and system integrators of high-tech transport robotics for intralogistics, is supporting the relocation and renovation of the new Commerzbibliothek branch of the Hamburg School of Business Administration with a donation and will lend its name to the library.
Andreas Böttner, CEO at EK Automation and former EMBA student at HSBA, is delighted to be able to support the university in this way: "I am very grateful for my excellent education at HSBA, which has prepared me optimally for the professional challenges in my current position at EK Automation." "Education and knowledge are the foundation for our international competitiveness," continues Böttner. "It is important to us to make a contribution to promoting excellent higher education in Hamburg."
As was previously the case at the Alte Wall location, a branch of the oldest private economics library in the world is also available to all students at the new campus. On the 5th floor, with a view of St. Nikolai Church, students can use the textbook collection with the most important works relevant to their studies as a reference collection. The branch will be reopened in accordance with the general decree for universities.
