6 River Systems thinks beyond the bot

6 River Systems (6RS) is showcasing a range of innovations and additions to its Fulfillment Execution Systems (FES) at the LogiMAT logistics trade fair (May 31 to June 2) in Stuttgart, with the autonomous mobile robot Chuck at the center of the show.

The latest enhancements include the integration of handheld computers and "The Bridge" control center, which consolidates data from warehouse operations in an intuitive, cloud-based control center. Another new feature is the option of using Chuck in multi-storey warehouses. 6 River Systems (6RS) will be exhibiting in hall 2 at stand EF10.

Handhelds extend the range to all storage areas

For the first time, the FES from 6 River Systems can also be installed on a handheld computer. This means that the Fulfillment Execution System can also be linked to other floor conveyors, such as narrow-aisle, order picking or forklift trucks. This also allows orders to be optimized that cannot be carried out with Chuck - such as picking oversized items, retrieving from high racks or working in very narrow aisles. The employees are guided through the orders via the display of the handheld computer with a uniform interface, while those responsible for the warehouse have greater transparency over the entire operation.

The Bridge as an informative warehouse control center

All orders and warehouse movements carried out by 6RS can be tracked, graphically processed and analyzed in "The Bridge" control center. With The Bridge, 6RS offers logistics companies the opportunity to precisely control every aspect of warehouse operations and optimize their warehouse. The intelligent software collects the relevant data from all fulfillment solutions in the warehouse and processes it on an intuitive user interface. In addition to the mobile collaborative picking robot Chuck, this includes data sources from the incoming goods, sorting, packaging, carton production and shipping areas. Users no longer have to switch between different systems to find the information they need. Another advantage is that the solution can be used to monitor the performance of multiple sites via a single system. Mobile access enables users to access the data worldwide and monitor intralogistics processes.
