As of January 1, all shares in the company were transferred to the US company Fortna, The Distribution Experts. Under the new flag, the team, location and project business of Pierau Planung will be retained with Hanseatic consistency.

After almost 60 years as an established management consultancy for intralogistics in Europe and beyond, it is time for major changes at Pierau Planung. All company shares were transferred to Fortna, The Distribution Experts, with effect from January 1. Originally a purely US-American company, Fortna® has successfully established itself over seven decades with locations on almost every continent as one of the world's leading consultants and integrators for the planning and implementation of logistics systems.

"We are delighted to announce our new partnership with the management and talented team at Pierau Planung," explains Marc Austin, Managing Director, Fortna EMEA. "Their services, expertise and strong European presence, brought into Fortna's global platform, complement our portfolio very well."

Pierau Planung's location, team and existing business will remain in place - the adjustments to new tasks that Pierau Planung and Fortna want to tackle, particularly in the European market, "will be achieved through growth and the targeted expansion of skills and capacities". Arne Pierau explains: "Our new collaboration with the Fortna team is a logical step in our company's development. We look forward to continuing to provide our customers with a comprehensive range of tailored solutions and conceptual approaches, while expanding our service offering through the broader range of services, proprietary software tools and scale of the Fortna organization."
