Quick pallet change made easy
The innovative PSV pallet pushing device from SW-Paratus makes pallet changing efficient and profitable. With PSV, pallets can be changed in a matter of seconds. Intensive test series carried out by Paratus with special requirements and pallet weights of up to 850 kg have been consistently successful. Even sensitive loads such as liquid-filled Tetra Paks were repalletized effortlessly.

The situation is often like this: Pallets are changed in freight forwarding, trade and industry using laborious manual work or complex systems. This may be to replace wooden pallets with plastic or metal pallets, as Euro or disposable pallets are not suitable for freight transport or storage. Or incorrect dimensions, defects and contamination of the pallets prevent further use.
"Our innovative changing system is ready for immediate use, does not require complex hydraulics and does not consume any energy itself," says Lars Wellerdiek from Logistics Management at SW-Paratus. "The particular advantage is that pallets can be changed quickly and safely by one person. Operating personnel are quickly trained."
And this is how it works: The loaded pallet is placed in the changing station. Side walls angled slightly outwards guide the pallet and load into the ideal starting position. The new, empty pallet is positioned directly in front of it with the help of an industrial truck. The changeover is very simple by simply pushing the pallet forward: while the rear and side walls gently hold the transported goods, the empty pallet slides under the load and pushes its predecessor through the recess in the rear wall. The process takes place without excessive pressure on the transported goods and is completed in a matter of seconds.
Ralf Schauties from Production Management and Sales at SW-Paratus believes that the opportunities in the market are outstanding: "With different dimensions, we match the changing station to Euro, industrial, disposable or half-format pallets in the best possible way. For maximum availability, we also manufacture stations in customized dimensions."
The pallet sliding device is anchored to a level surface such as concrete, industrial flooring or screed using screws. A robust, four-millimeter-thick sheet steel, structural reinforcements and impact protection enable it to be used for many years. The purchase of the station pays for itself quickly. Integration into automatic lines is also possible.
