Kardex Mlog with its own branch in Poland
Effective December 1, Kardex Mlog will be represented by its own branch in Poland. The Kardex Group division will offer the complete service chain under the umbrella of Kardex Polska. The provider of integrated material handling systems and high-bay warehouses will operate the new location in Sopot together with Kardex's Remstar and AutoStore divisions. This is the first time that the Kardex Group is represented with its complete portfolio of solutions at one location. This will result in significant synergies, from which customers will also benefit. Sopot is a northern Polish city on the Baltic Sea which, together with the neighboring cities of Gdynia and Gdansk, forms the Tricity conurbation.
Kardex Polska is headed by Managing Director Hans Boinski. He has 28 years of experience in the field of transportation and warehouse logistics, including 23 years in various management positions. In the course of his career, Boinski has worked for various German and Polish companies in the logistics sector.
The Kardex Group has been present in Poland for over ten years. The Kardex Mlog Division realized its first project there back in 2014: an automated high-bay warehouse for a German food company. This was followed by systems for Amica, TME, Bridgestone and Dan Cake. In future, these and all other Polish projects can be managed and maintained locally. To this end, the workforce in Poland is to be expanded from around 20 to 30 employees by the end of March 2022. Further expansion steps will follow successively.
"Poland is an important future market for Kardex Mlog, where several new high-bay warehouses are built every year," explains Bartosz Jankowski, who works as a sales manager and project planner in Sopot. What's more, demand is mainly coming from the pharmaceutical and food & beverage industries, particularly the dairy sector. "We are strongly represented in precisely these sectors and have numerous references," emphasizes Jankowski.
