Helena Gennutt,

Improve interim storage

Solutions for the automated interim storage of semi-finished goods are part of Westfalia's portfolio. When optimizing intralogistics processes, the processes in the interim warehouse must also be taken into account.

For example, Westfalia replaces manually or semi-automatically operated warehouses with fully automated ones if they are used in multiple shifts, often three shifts. A high degree of automation provides potential savings at this point. In addition to these advantages, smaller aisle widths and a rack design adapted to the structural conditions help to create more storage spaces. The modular warehouse management and material flow software Savanna.net can be integrated into existing and new processes. Westfalia also achieves better space utilization with overhead storage and retrieval machines, for example with the Aviator system; there are no limits to the logistics-oriented design and arrangement of storage systems.
