Gilgen Logistics: More capacity for the deep-freeze warehouse

Gilgen Logistics AG has been commissioned to expand the deep-freeze warehouse of Kühlhaus Neuhof AG. The capacity of the existing high-bay warehouse will be increased from 5,780 to over 13,100 pallet spaces with two additional storage aisles and a double-deep stacker crane and a multiple-deep stacker crane with channel vehicle. Products are stored in the fully automated high-bay warehouse at a temperature of around 28 degrees Celsius. The pallet conveyor technology with two elevators is installed in the minus 28 degree temperature range and partly in the shock freezing range down to minus 38 degrees. Gilgen is also supplying the control system, the warehouse management system and the material flow computer for the new logistics system. In one part of the warehouse, manual picking areas will be installed on two floors. Gilgen also installed a front building with two docking ramps and an external ramp.
