Jungheinrich project
Amazone: New spare parts warehouse from a single source
Amazonen Werke H. Dreyer GmbH & Co KG has commissioned Jungheinrich to set up a new spare parts warehouse in Tecklenburg-Leeden, North Rhine-Westphalia. The company, which specializes in the construction of agricultural and municipal machinery, will supply its customers all over the world with spare parts from here in future.
Jungheinrich supplies the main components of the logistics system solution from a single source. The core is an automated small parts warehouse with 27,360 storage locations. Four Jungheinrich STC 2B1A stacker cranes handle storage and retrieval in the 52-metre-long aisles. With a travel speed of 6 meters per second, the STC 2B1A is one of the fastest stacker cranes in its class, according to the company. The automated small parts warehouse is connected to the goods-in, picking and packing workstations via conveyor technology. These are equipped with a put-to-light system to make order picking easier. Amazone relies on Jungheinrich's Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Warehouse Control System (WCS) as warehouse management software to control all logistics processes. The scope of supply also includes the racking construction for a manually managed narrow-aisle warehouse with 33 rows of racks, each with 10 levels and space for a total of 12,800 pallet cages, which can be loaded up to a weight of 1,000 kilograms. There is also a bar storage system with six rows of racking for storing long parts.
