As the Volvo Group's second-largest research and development center, the center in St. Priest will help to support the activities of the existing production plants in the greater Lyon area. Over 1,000 specialists are to be employed there after completion. The focus: close exchange between the different specialist areas. Interdisciplinarity is also to be brought to the fore with the architecture. The layout of the three floors emphasizes the interdisciplinary nature of the teams, which is essential for the success of the projects and the innovations of a brand. The offices, the open-space areas and the rooms for creative development, as well as the entire building, will be arranged in such a way as to promote the exchange of ideas and thus also the formation of innovations.
