Premiere: Kögel lightweight semi-trailer at the IAA Commercial Vehicles
Burtenbach, July 23, 2018 - At this year's IAA Commercial Vehicles , Kögel will be presenting the newly designed Kögel Lightplus Coil, a lightweight trailer for transporting coils and slit strips.
The trailer also features the optimized outer frame profile and the improved body of the newly developed Novum generation. With a tare weight from 5,420 kilograms with individual equipment and 5,790 kilograms with basic equipment, the trailer is particularly light.
Specially equipped trade fair exhibit
The Lightplus coil trailer presented at the IAA Commercial Vehicles also has the optional ice-free system. A long, inflatable air hose underneath the roof tarpaulin pushes the tarpaulin upwards when inflated and thus easily removes accumulated water, snow and ice. This prevents accidents caused by falling ice sheets. The payload can be further increased by lightweight aluminum components and lightweight tyres.
Load securing with Coilfix system
The Lightplus Coil can also be equipped with the Kögel Coilfix load securing system. The system consists of a tensioning beam, four square tube stanchions with heavy-duty hooks and holders for spacer tubes, two spacer tubes and three sling ropes and lashing straps each for diagonal bracing. This ensures form-fit securing. mm
