IAA Commercial Vehicles: Humbaur presents new FlexBox bodies
Gersthofen, 13.07.2018 - Humbaur, one of the largest manufacturers of trailers and vehicle bodies in Europe, will be presenting its current range of FlexBox vehicle bodies at the IAA Commercial Vehicles in Hanover in September. These were developed in close cooperation with the automotive industry and logistics service providers. The Humbaur FlexBox has been on the market since 2016.
Various FlexBox innovations will be on display at the IAA Commercial Vehicles. The rounded corner design, for example, brings advantages in terms of aerodynamics and, in addition to the lightweight GRP construction, helps to reduce fuel consumption. A new, payload-optimized design ensures a larger transport volume. The FlexBox box bodies are divided into three series: Dry, Cool and Freeze. The temperature-controlled FlexBox Cool and FlexBox Freeze versions now have an ATP certificate and are therefore suitable for transporting perishable foodstuffs in accordance with the ATP class.
E-mobility is on the rise, Streetscooter vehicles are in vogue. Humbaur supplies a suitable dry freight box with its FlexBox Dry. The vehicle is particularly lightweight thanks to its GRP sandwich body with aluminum subframe. The electrically powered vehicle is equipped with a tail lift with a lifting capacity of 500 kg. mm
