Gebrüder Weiss receives Hermes Award

With the TSS, the company has created high safety standards that are based on the so-called TAPA regulations as well as the safety requirements of the industry and are to be applied to all transports within the company's area of application. "The TSS is tailored to the needs of European land transportation, but can also be used as a guideline for other areas," explains Alexander Horak, Head of Industry Vertical HighTech at Gebrüder Weiss.

The concept: The Group's safety officers develop the processes together with the customers and implement them. The resulting outcomes are subjected to annual audits. Partners and customers also benefit from the continuously improved safety concepts. Around 55,000 full truck loads are now monitored throughout Europe every year. The result: according to the company, the new safety standards have reduced customers' loss of value by almost 70 percent. This is due both to the reduction in attempted thefts and to a defined intervention program in the event of theft.
