100 kilometers daily distance

Meyer-Logistiks is now testing the 25-tonne truck with refrigerated body for a year to transport temperature-controlled food to several supermarket branches in Hamburg city center. Up to 10 tons will be transported with the e-truck. The eActros will be used on a daily route of around 100 kilometers, which will be driven in single-shift operation - one battery charge is sufficient for this.

Practical tests in various sectors

The e-truck handed over is part of the so-called eActros "innovation fleet". The first eActros in the fleet has been in practical operation with a customer since September, with the second handover taking place at the beginning of October. All test customers are testing the eActros for transporting goods in urban traffic in different sectors.

Oliver Kraft, Head of Key Account Management Mercedes-Benz Trucks Germany: "The practical tests with the eActros are an important milestone for us on the way to series production. Every customer makes a valuable contribution to the further development towards series production by testing the eActros in a very specific area of application in regular day-to-day operations. Our experts are available to customers around the clock.
