50,000 "Young Stars" vans sold
The 50,000th vehicle found a new owner shortly before the fourth anniversary of the Mercedes-Benz Vans used van brand "Junge Sterne Transporter".
At the Chemnitz plant of Mercedes-Benz contract partner Schloz Wöllenstein GmbH & Co. KG, master screed layer Peter Börmann took delivery of a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 516 CDI from Andreas Böger, member of the used vehicle management team at Mercedes-Benz Vans Sales Germany, and Silke Rößner, saleswoman for used vans at Schloz Wöllenstein. The 5-tonne high-roof panel van handed over will now join the fleet of the Augustusburg-based screed and flooring technology company Börmann (EFB GmbH) and will be used as a van, tool store and mobile office in daily use at the customer's premises. As a Sprinter of the latest generation, the anniversary vehicle is equipped with numerous safety and assistance systems, such as Active Brake Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist and Crosswind Assist, as well as a reversing camera and the MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) multimedia system.
"In my screed and flooring technology business, I focus on quality, reliability and safety - features that I also value in Mercedes-Benz vans," said Peter Börmann at the vehicle handover. "With the Junge Sterne van, I get certified quality even in a used vehicle - that's very important to me."
Andreas Böger, responsible for the used vehicle business at Mercedes-Benz Vans Sales Germany: "50,000 Junge Sterne vans are an important milestone for our young brand. Since the launch in 2015, we have recorded continuous growth. A key reason for this success story is the comprehensive value proposition we offer our customers."
