). The market for baggage handling is developing positively worldwide, with Vanderlande clearly positioned as the market leader. This is evidenced by a significant milestone in the company's history, namely the confirmation that the company will supply the complete baggage handling system for Istanbul's new international airport, with a capacity that will make it one of the world's largest airports.

The company was also selected as a supplier and partner for the redesign of Terminal 1 at Changi Airport in Singapore. This is Vanderlande's largest baggage handling order in the Asian market. Further orders for innovative systems and intelligent software from Vanderlande were placed by Kingsford Smith International Airport in Sydney, Kiev Boryspil Airport and Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport. Vanderlande was also successful in the rapidly growing warehouse automation segment, winning new orders in the food retail industry, for example. The orders come from leading chains such as Albert Heijn (Netherlands), E.Leclerc (France), Consum (Spain), Cencosud (Chile) and several large food retailers from the Asia-Pacific region.

Vanderlande has reinforced its leading position in the fast-growing market for parcel and postal services and expanded its business with international parcel service providers. The company received new orders from FedEx, SF Express (China) and DHL Leipzig (part of Deutsche Post DHL), among others.

A good example of Vanderlande's long-term partnerships are contracts in the area of life-cycle services, such as the continuation of operations and maintenance at Barcelona, Munich, Schiphol, Heathrow and Oslo Gardermoen airports. Recent Vanderlande customers in this area include Kingsford Smith International Airport, Nanning Wuxu International Airport, Minsk Airport and Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Medina, Saudi Arabia.

EDEKA Südwest Fleisch (Germany) has also extended its existing location-based service contract for a further five years. A further service contract was signed with Asda (UK). Following the completion of its new automated distribution center in the Netherlands, Albert Heijn will also use the services of Vanderlande's Life Cycle Services team.

"Vanderlande continues to add value to its customers' businesses, which helps us expand in our existing markets," explains Govert Hamers, CEO of Vanderlande. "We currently have as many as 260 projects in as many as 105 countries around the world. Internationalization is becoming increasingly important for the continued success of our company. As a leading global partner, our international network is invaluable as it ensures that we are close to our customers." red
