Detlef Ganz new CTO at Stow
The stow group continues to expand: Detlef Ganz has taken on the role of CTO, Chief Technology Officer at the Belgian group as of January 1.
Detlef Ganz is now responsible for research and development. The 55-year-old graduate engineer and industrial engineer will drive forward the expansion of new products, market segments and markets for stow within the management team. Detlef Ganz was Managing Director at viastore Systems until the end of 2019, where he was responsible for the operational business of the Stuttgart-based system integrator (materialfluss reported on November 25). Prior to that, he was Managing Director at warehouse technology provider BITO for around nine years and held other leading positions in intralogistics and mechanical engineering.
"For me, stow has of course been a very well-known company for years, which is pursuing its growth course in an impressively consistent and targeted manner," says Detlef Ganz, adding: "I am looking forward to the challenge at stow, a highly dynamic market leader."
stow develops and produces shelving systems for all different storage applications. With over 1,800 employees and ten production sites, stow is the leading provider in this market segment, according to its own information. With the current "one brand, one company" program, the brand names storax, feralco and duwic were dissolved as of 31 December and merged into one strong brand: stow.
