Strategic partnership
Omron and Lowpad cooperate on mobile robotics
Omron Robotics and Lowpad have entered into a strategic partnership to complement Omron's mobile robots with Lowpad's ultra-low profile solutions.
Omron is strong in the field of autonomous mobile robotics (AMR). Users include numerous industrial customers with payload requirements ranging from 60 to 1,500 kilograms. Lowpad has established a position in the low-profile mobile robotics market segment for retail and logistics. Lowpad's solutions offer profiles between 80 and 130 millimeters with integrated lift, enabling them to handle racks, trollies and pallets that can be used to automate manual transport processes in a wide range of industries. Lowpad is the lowest autonomous mobile robot on the market with a minimum height of only 13 centimeters (5 inches).
Customized versions
As part of the strategic partnership, Omron will market and sell customized versions of Lowpad robots through its global distribution network under the Omron brand. Lowpad's products will be integrated into Omron's Flow Core software. It enables autonomous operation and control of fleets of up to 100 mobile robots from a single point. By combining Lowpad's hardware and Omron's fleet management software, companies benefit from a highly flexible solution for intelligent transportation at their production sites
