Software and hardware from a single source
Rudolph Logistik sequences with IT from inconso
In the Wörth logistics center in Lower Bavaria, the Rudolph Logistics Group (RLG) has been providing logistics services in the environment of a well-known automobile manufacturer since January 2019 and relies on the proven automotive solution from logistics software specialist inconso to manage the logistics processes. The inconsoWMS Automotive has gone live within a very short time and provides IT support, especially for optimal production supply (just-in-time/just-in-sequence) and ensures seamless process integration of all logistics partners involved.
At its logistics site in Wörth, RLG also relies on a software solution that takes into account the particularly complex logistical requirements of the automotive industry and, above all, supports production-synchronized procurement and distribution control. The solution went live within four months. "It is particularly noteworthy that production supply was able to continue without disruption during the system implementation. This was particularly successful thanks to Rudolph Logistik's special industry expertise and inconso's tailor-made solution for this system. Thanks to the existing partnership basis, there was also a mutual understanding of the industry-specific processes and the software solution designed for this right from the start of the project," emphasizes Wilfried Pfuhl, member of the inconso board.
In addition, inconso also delivered and installed the hardware (server systems, mobile data terminals) for the planned commissioning in January. RLG uses almost one hundred mobile terminals in Wörth to optimize processes and workflow and reduce error rates in order picking to a minimum.
Dr. Dennis Abel, overall project manager at RLG, also explains: "Our many years of project experience with inconso and the critical timeline for project implementation led us - in addition to the familiar software components - to procure and install a large part of the necessary hardware equipment via inconso. The direct communication in advance, the quick implementation on site and the smooth go-live of all components also confirmed this decision as the right choice afterwards.
